Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name and email address, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never see or store your actual password.

Purchase and subscription information. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe collects and processes your card details; we never receive or store your card number. We keep records of what you purchased, the amount paid, any coupon used, and your subscription status, so your library and membership work correctly.

Listening activity. To make the product work and to improve it, we record listening events such as plays, pauses, sample plays, playback position, and completion. This is how your books resume where you left off on any device, and how we learn which titles listeners love.

Technical information. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not sell your information to anyone.

We use your information to run your account and library, process purchases and subscriptions, sync your listening progress, provide customer support, keep the service secure, and understand how Healtone is used so we can improve it. That is the whole list.

We share information only with the service providers that make Healtone run: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and secure storage), Cloudflare (audio delivery and security), Vercel (website hosting), and Resend (transactional email). Each provider receives only what it needs to do its job. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, ever.

Our servers are located in North America. If you use Healtone from outside Canada, your information is transferred to and processed in North America under the protections described in this policy.

We follow Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA), and we extend the same core rights to every Healtone user, wherever you live, including users in the European Union (GDPR) and California (CCPA):

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you. You may ask us to correct it. You may ask us to delete your account and personal information, and we will do so, except for records we are legally required to keep, such as tax and transaction records. You may unsubscribe from any non-essential email at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@healtone.app from the address on your account, and we will respond within 30 days.

Healtone is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or on the site.
